A RENOWNED soul singer has filmed a short video for a Flintshire animal rescue charity that has been hit hard by coronavirus.

Beverley Knight produced a short clip that was shared by North Clwyd Animal Rescue [NCAR] on their social media channels.

She told viewers about her own experiences of adopting a rescue dog and the vital work that charities such as NCAR do to ensure animals are set to find their forever home after being given up by previous owners.

She said: "Zain came into our lives two years ago and he has brought us so much joy.

"North Clwyd Animal Rescue looks after dogs just like my Zain, picks them up from the streets where they have been dumped, abandoned or left there for whatever reason and gets them ready to find their forever home.

"But, like every other charity they have been hot badly by the coronavirus."

She appealed for those in a position to do so, to consider donating a small amount to help this Flintshire-based charity continue its vital work in keeping animals safe on the journey to finding their forever home.
