• Mel Hough, from Connah's Quay: "This is Lester. When he was six-months-old he woke us up with an usual bark at 3am. It turns out he was warning us about a burglary at our home. I got up to see what he was barking at and saw a large person in the shadows, already broke the lock. I shouted to the would-be burglars, three of them, and they fled. I will never tell him not to bark now. He communicates with us."
