AN independent charity continues to appeal for information as part of an ongoing murder investigation in Wrexham.

On Monday, June 1, Terence "Terry" Edwards was discovered dead at his home in Pont Wen, Caia Park, just before 7pm.

A post-mortem examination referenced at an inquest opening into his death gave a provisional cause of Mr Edward's death as "severe blunt force head injury".

Local police have launched a murder investigation into the 60-year-old’s death.

A month on from his death, in July, the independent charity Crimestoppers began offering a reward of £10,000 for information on the murder.

Now, a further month on, they continue to offer the reward in turn for help with gathering vital evidence to catch those responsible.

Gary Murray, north west regional manager at the charity Crimestoppers, previously said: “We are appealing to those with any information to speak to our charity 100 per cent anonymously. You can make all of the difference in getting justice for Terry.

“We understand that anybody who visited 39 Pont Wen between 9pm Friday 29th May and 7pm Monday, June 1, and the Caia Park estate community could have vital knowledge.

"If you know who was responsible for this murder, or have any information, no matter how small, please speak up and tell Crimestoppers. This is your opportunity to do the right thing.

"Please remember that Crimestoppers, as an independent charity, keeps its promise of 100 per cent anonymity each and every day to those who trust us with their crime information.”

The charity is asking anyone with relevant information to call their UK Contact Centre on 0800 555 111, 24 hours a day, seven days a week or use their website’s secure anonymous online form at www.crimestoppers-uk.org.
