READERS across Flintshire will be able to pick up their books from a variety of places after a library service was expanded.

Library users have been able to use the "select and collect" service provided by Aura Leisure and Libraries since July 6.

Under the scheme, books have been available to collect from either Mold or Connah’s Quay Library.

But now the company has said from Monday, July 20, its mobile library will be travelling across Flintshire visiting different locations to drop off pre-ordered books.

Kate Leonard, libraries development officer for Aura Leisure and Libraries, said: "We are so pleased to be able to announce the latest expansion to our new select and collect service, which has been a huge success to date, with over 250 orders already having been received in its launch week.

"The Aura mobile library allows us to extend the offer even further into our communities, and will mean more people can access this fantastic service, in particular those who are less able to leave their homes or access their local library at this time.

"With Flint Library offering the service from July 20 and Buckley Library from July 27, more customers than ever will have the opportunity to pick up a great new read from Aura Libraries."

To place an order, residents can call 01352 703750 with their library membership details and an idea of specific books or genre types they are interested in ordering.

Alternatively, you they email libraries@aura.wales with their library card number, phone number, book choices and where you would like to collect them.

Further updates regarding Aura’s Library Services will be communicated on the company's social media platforms (Facebook: @walesaura Twitter: @aura_wales) and website: http://www.aura.wales
