These last few months have seen readers spending lots of quality time with the pets in their family.

And we asked you to tell us all about them.

Whether they're winged, scaled, furry or spiky, regardless of leg count, introduce us or you can email claire.pierce@newsquest.co.uk.

Here are just some of fabulous creatures, great and small, we've heard about...

• Yvonne Roberts, from Wrexham: "This is my daughter's sweet little dog Poppy. Such good company."

The Leader:

• Glenys Jones, from Wrexham: "Maggie Mae our beautiful cockerpoo. So full of love and affection for everyone. Just had to share."

The Leader:

• Robert Williams, from Wrexham: "My dog’s name is Seren, she’s a six-year-old Labrador retriever. Like any lab she loves walks and food. She also loves dribbling a ball around the garden like she’s playing football."

The Leader:

• Grace Small, from Wrexham: "Orchid is a three-year-old cremello cob. He is amazing in all ways too! We got him in May and he has improved so much. He loves to jump and go on hacks. He also has helped me stay calm and whenever I’m down he’s always there to cheer me up! We do school work in the morning and then ride in the afternoon and he is also a massive help in his field because he helps pick up his poo! Over all he is the world's best horse."

The Leader:

• Christine Taylor, from Wrexham: "Misty is a right charmer. Very friendly All the neighbours know him and he visits at least four of their homes regularly. As a kitten he went missing three times when well meaning strangers took him home, thinking he was a stray. Thankfully we managed to get him home each time. He has a unique character and in the past has run off with a bubble pack of tablets and a £5 note in his mouth. We also had to climb up and rescue him from the house roof once when he could not get down. One of the funniest occasions was when he followed me one night all the way to the reception in bingo. I had to phone my husband to come and collect him."

The Leader:

• Margaret Griffiths, from Wrexham: "This is my beautiful one-year-old St Bernard, Mabel. Due to a health condition I have been shielding throughout Covid-19 and she has been the best company. She is full of energy and is always up to mischief. Whenever I am having a bad day, she is always there, giving me a reason to smile. I love her so much."

The Leader:

• Julie Gregson, from Wrexham: "Arthur found us, we gave him a loving home. All the neighbours loved him and said he was the king of the street. My daughter Abileigh and Arthur were inseparable, he followed her everywhere - the shop, on the field, ice cream van, to school. And sat in the street at 3pm waiting for her. We sadly lost him a few months ago but he had a lovely life and was loved."

The Leader:

• Brian Prydden, from Gwersyllt: "This is my brother's dog Giggs, named after the famous Ryan Giggs. He's a 12-year-old Lhasa Apso, who likes having treats and his photo taken."

The Leader:

• Seren Perry, from Buckley: "Her name is Lexi and she’s one-year-old."
