"Quin arrived safely, in the most magical way. We were lucky enough to have a water birth with fairy lights and music in a midwife-led unit before the use of birthing pools were temporarily prohibited. He was born at 4.30pm after being in labour for two hours. We went home at 8.30pm the same day, as we were anxious about contracting the virus whilst in hospital. The midwives were amazing at calming any anxieties we had and guiding me through my contractions with very minimal contact. I will never, ever forget such a special moment in our lives. His grandparents met him for the first time through the window and finally held him when he was three-months-old. It was such a stressful time being scared of the virus, being isolated from any form of support from friends and family, homeschooling and at one point not being able to buy baby formula due to people panic buying it but he has brought so much love and joy into our lives. We love you baby boy."
