MOLD'S open-air cinema event will return next year 'bigger and brighter than ever'.

AfterLight Events confirmed that over the last ten months they have been busy planning their 2020 season due to take place in Mold later this summer.

After listening to customer feedback, plans were in place to unveil a brand new 300" screen, increased lighting effects and improved sound coverage.

However, the event has since been cancelled due to the uncertainty of the coronavirus pandemic.

A spokesman said: "The safety of our guests and staff will always be our number one priority. Although many lockdown restrictions are currently being lifted, there is still a lot of uncertainty for the event industry. We have been in regular contact with Mold Rugby Club since the start of 2020 and recently came to a mutual agreement that this year's event cannot continue.

"We will return to Mold to host our open-air cinema in 2021, bigger and brighter than ever. We are continuing to plan other events for later this year. Please stay tuned for updates. If you have a venue and are interested in working with us in the future, please get in touch via general@afterlightevents.co.uk."
