A SENIOR councillor spoke of his joy at seeing traders traders return to a Wrexham arts and markets facility.
Ty Pawb reopened its doors on Wednesday, with a range of new safety measures in place to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
Cllr Terry Evans, Wrexham Council's lead member for economy - economic development and regeneration, said he was delighted to see the positive atmosphere at the venue.
He said: "I was speaking to traders and they are relieved to be back and very upbeat.
"Businesses are desperate because it's been over three months now.
"I know some have had help from the Welsh Government, which has been a lifeline for them but it has been very difficult.
"I have been in business all my life and I have never seen anything like this before.
"I am really pleased with all of the measures we have in place and as long as people are sensible and stick to the guidance Ty Pawb is open to welcoming everyone back in."
Tŷ Pawb's Market Hall and Food Court is open 10am to 4pm Monday to Saturday, with selected Food Court traders offering a takeaway service until 6pm.
Its car park is now open too and is offering free parking until further notice.
A one way system and visitor limit has been put in place and there are hand sanitising stations at the entrances, as well as social distancing reminders located around the building.
