For most people, their animals are members of the family and the Leader aims to celebrate them.

Whether it’s a funny photo, story or event, we want to hear from you.

Here are some of our readers' pets we've heard about...

Carolyn Bowles, from Halkyn: "Bailey’s wacky, so funny, got the most strange sense of humour. He could sleep hanging upside down. He offers so much love you wouldn’t imagine could come from such a beautiful baby."

The Leader:

Emma McDade, from Broughton: "Skye is our 20-month-old kelpie/collie cross. She loves running and has even won a few trophies for canicross races, which she runs with my partner Matt Hail. We couldn’t have got through lockdown without her."

The Leader:

Irina Walls, from Halkyn: "Dasha is a beautiful four-year-old female which a found a way into our life about a year ago. She is a very smart, independent, gentle girl. She loves to hunt and brings us her little 'treasures' now and again. Dasha makes us happy and I hope we've made her happy too, since she found her home with us."

The Leader:

Gemma Crowley, from Wrexham: "This is Dora, she’s a shitzu Pomeranian cross. She’s just too cute not to share her with you!!"

The Leader:

Jane Bennett, from Flintshire: "My Chicco is amazing, got me through rough and tumbles but just to walk into an empty house and then my Chicco comes running! Could not ask for more. My best friend, my life."

The Leader:

Nichola Thompson, from Chester: "Rosie is a rescue cat from South Wirral Cats Protection. She was found as a pregnant stray and came to live with me once her kittens had all been rehomed. She's playful, funny and sassy and has been the very best companion during lockdown."

The Leader:

Kaity Taylor, from Holywell: "Our dog Saffy is an amazing dog she can make you laugh. She snores like a pig but she is full of love."

The Leader:

Pamela Williams, from Holywell: "My dog's name is Brenin, he's a Welsh sheep dog, so kept him Welsh calling him Brenin (Welsh for King). He is a very energetic boy. His obsession is with a ball, he goes out every day on the mountain to play ball. He's three-years-old and very clever, and melts your heart with his blue eyes."

The Leader:

Nia Roberts, from Acton, Wrexham: "Bronson and Hooch, our two-year-old Dogue De Bordeaux boys. They are not just brothers but also litter mates, and they do everything together. They love a good play fight, but their favourite time is when they are snuggled up together, usually in front of the fire. They are such well behaved dogs around the house, but Hooch is very good at jumping, and if he’s off the lead he will clear most walls and hedges. Bronson normally feels obliged to follow. They are big cuddle lovers and don’t mind sharing their impressive amounts of slobber with anyone. They are also very protective of their human brothers, Eifion, two and Aran, nine months. They make our house a home."
