AN INQUEST has opened into the death of a Wrexham man found dead at home.
Christopher Evans, 31, was found dead at his home on Meadow View in Wrexham on June 17.
At a brief hearing in Ruthin, John Gittins, senior coroner for North Wales East and Central said Mr Evans' mother had reported concerns about her son to the police having not heard from him for some time.
Mr Evans, who was unemployed at the time of his death, was subsequently found dead at his home by police, and was said to have been deceased for "some time" - with the last sighting of him being on May 2.
He was found with alcohol and both prescriptive and recreational drug paraphernalia.
A full inquest into Mr Evans' death will take place at a date to be fixed.
