FLINTSHIRE-based housing provider North East Wales Homes has announced the purchase of nine new affordable homes.
The homes have been purchased from the north Wales based 5-star housebuilder Macbryde Homes on its Plas Issa development.
Set on the edge of the popular village of Bryn y Baal, the Plas Issa properties will be available for affordable rent at the beginning of the summer and are currently being marketed by Tai Teg, the Flintshire Affordable Housing Registered Provider.
Plas Issa will be the first scheme which North East Wales Homes is partnering with Macbryde Homes, and strategic plans are being developed for future schemes across the county.
Paul Humphries, Chair of North East Wales Homes, said: “North East Wales Homes is delighted to deliver this high quality scheme for new affordable housing in Bryn y Baal in partnership with Macbryde Homes.
"We are committed to working with local developers to bring forward new opportunities for local people to access to access modern, quality accommodation.
"Given the uncertain times we are currently experiencing, the provision of affordable homes has never been as important.”
Gwyn Jones, managing director of Macbryde Homes, said: "Macbryde Homes is delighted to be working with North East Wales Homes on this development, and hope it will be the first of many partnerships arrangements in Flintshire over the coming years.”
Interested applicants must firstly be registered with Tai Teg and meet their criteria.
