POLICE have launched a murder investigation after the death of Terence Edwards in Pont Wen, Caia Park.

The 60-year-old was found dead at his home on Monday, June 1.

Chief Inspector Mark Williams said: "Police were called to 39 Pont Wen, Wrexham shortly before 7pm on Monday 1st June 2020. Following entry in to the address the resident, Terence (Terry) Edwards was discovered deceased.

"A home office post mortem has been carried out and determined Terry has died of a head injury.'

"As a result North Wales Police have launched a murder investigation and a dedicated team of trained officers has been set up to investigate the circumstances surrounding Terry’s death.'

"I am appealing to anyone who has any information about who attended at 39 Pont Wen, Wrexham between 9pm on Friday 29th May and 7pm Monday 1st June.

"Investigations are ongoing and it is vitally important for anyone with information or any witnesses to come forward to help us with our enquiries.

"There will be an increased police presence in the area, who will be happy to stop and engage with you should you have any information relating to Terry’s death.’

The family of the victim are currently being supported by a family liaison officer and we ask that they are given privacy to come to terms with the sudden and unexpected death of their loved one.
