MEET Layla Goodwin, one of our first Leader Press Gang members.

Ten-year-old Layla, from Mold, wants to be a photographer when she grows up and has been using her daily exercise during lockdown to enjoy long walks, taking photographs of local wild flowers and animals.

Layla said: “I want to be a photographer because I love taking pictures of the outdoors, nature and the pretty flowers.

“I love using filters and edits, so I want to take pictures of a lot of things.

“And I love my dogs Maggie and Mabel.”

The Leader Press Gang wants to hear from youngsters about their lockdown experience, creative projects, poems, thoughts on going back to school, literally just about anything you can think of.

Is there something in your community you want to talk about or maybe you’ve built an awesome den you’re proud of - share with us, we want to hear from you.

If you would like to take part, the Leader Press Gang scheme is open to both primary and high school pupils and you are able to submit more than one piece of work.

To send in a contribution, email it - subject marked Leader Press Gang - to claire.pierce@newsquest.co.uk with your contact details, the name and age of your child and the school they attend, preferably with a photo of them too.
