A CHESTER company has gone above and beyond to help a Deeside group, despite a 'considerable loss of earnings'.

The Deeside Round Table has been delivering dozens of care packages to the elderly and vulnerable across the community for several weeks.

Many people and companies have stepped up to help, to ensure those people are not left behind during the pandemic, with the latest being the Chester Pizza Company.

The business raised £500 after selling homemade pizza kits - in which 100 per cent of the profits were donated to the cause.

Deeside Round Table member David Mellor said: "A huge thank you to The Chester Pizza Company for raising an awesome £500 for our community care pack appeal.

"Despite having all of their own events cancelled resulting in a considerable loss of earnings, Cliff Wynne-Jones, over the last few weeks, has been selling homemade pizza kits to local people so that they can have fun and enjoy making their own pizzas from scratch at home during the lockdown.

"And 100 per cent of the profits went to our community care pack appeal. A huge thanks to Cliff for this amazing gesture at a tough time for his business. Make sure you support these types of local businesses when everything is back to normal(ish)."
