Coronavirus telephone scam.
POLICE are urging people to take care and not fall prey to coronavirus scammers.
The Eastern Community Safety and Wrexham Town policing teams have warned people about scammers attempting to get people's debit and credit card details over the phone.
They are asking people to pass the message on to others who may not use social media.
They said: "Please be aware if you have a telephone call regarding a coronavirus test that no payment is required. The test is free of charge.
"Please make people aware who are not on social media. Sadly some people are trying to get card details over the phone.
"Thank you."
