AN INQUEST has opened into the death of a former Wrexham surgeon who died following a fall in hospital.
Mervyn Theodore Rosenberg, 86, of Station Road in Chirk, died on May 9 at Wrexham Maelor Hospital.
Opening in inquest into his death at county hall in Ruthin on Tuesday, John Gittins, senior coroner for North Wales east and central, said Mr Rosenberg had been admitted to hospital on May 4 following a series of falls at home.
Mr Rosenberg, who was also suffering from Parkinson’s Disease, fell on the ward on May 7.
Mr Rosenberg suffered a bleed on the brain as a result of the fall and died two days later.
A full inquest into his death will be held at a date yet to be fixed.
