A FIREFIGHTER has made a video plea to people to reduce demand on emergency services in North Wales.
It came after crews from three stations spend much of the day tackling a blaze believed to have spread from controlled burning.
Mike Plant, Station Manager for North Wales Fire and Rescue, made a video at the scene of the fire at Mynydd Bodafon, Llanerchymedd, Anglesey.
He said crews from Benllech, Caernarfon and Llangefni were called to the scene at about midday today (Monday, May 25).
He said: "Unfortunately this is is again another occasion where somebody has decided to do a burn whilst on lockdown and its got out of control."
North Wales Fire and Rescue Service tweeted: "Please listen to Mike’s appeal and avoid burning to #reducedemand on our firefighters during this challenging time."
