POLICE officers are dealing with a fallen tree that is blocking a road in Wrexham.
North Wales Police report that officers are currently assisting Wrexham Highways teams with a road closure.
A spokesman for the force said: “They are dealing with a fallen tree outside Ysgol Cymraeg Plas Coch, the road will remain closed for some time. Please use alternative routes for essential travel. Thank you.”
The Leader previously reported on high winds causing disruption across the region on Friday and received the following advice from Wrexham Council to share with motorists making essential journeys.
Cllr David Bithell, lead member for environment and transport, said: “High winds can cause disruption and can cause a danger to pedestrians and drivers.
“Please take extra care when taking your daily exercise or undertaking any essential journeys.”
