A HOLIDAY park entertainer is vowing to get 'gunged' in support of NHS staff working tirelessly during the coronavirus pandemic – as soon as his fundraising target is hit.

Reece Lloyd, from Chester, is hoping to raise £200 along with a few laughs by getting covered in slime in aid of NHS Charities Together.

The 19-year-old, who works as an entertainer at Broadland Sands Holiday Park in Lowestoft, Great Yarmouth, but is currently back home due to the crisis, wants to raise spirits during a "tough time".

He said: "I have temporarily been sent home but can't wait to go back and start entertaining again. That is where the idea come from.

"I thought to myself I could do a fundraiser in true entertainer fashion and get gunged if a target is reached, and all money will go directly to NHS Charities Together.

"It's for a good cause and it's a bit of fun during this tough time which will hopefully keep spirits high and give people something to laugh at when the target is hopefully reached.

"The idea for the gunging and the slime is purely for the reason of it's just classic entertainment! Who doesn't love seeing someone get covered in slime after losing a game show or a challenge?

"Apart from this time, I’ll be getting slime poured all over me when the £200 target is met. Also, if this target is met, I have an extra surprise that will not want to be missed!"

Once Reece has reached his fundraising total he will film the gunging and post it online.
