A FLINTSHIRE woman is encouraging people to celebrate special days by doing something new and different.
As Nia Griffiths, of Holywell, celebrated her birthday in style, despite the coronavirus lockdown.
She was allowed to use the sit-on lawn mower for the first time.
The voluntary childline counsellor said: "Obviously before the lockdown we would have gone out and done something special with family and friends.
"We have family in different parts of the world, I have a son in Bath and daughter in Australia, so I haven't been able to see them this year.
"Fortunately, we have a garden and my husband has always done the garden and mowed the lawn. This time I wanted to have a go, so I did.
"You've got to just find something different, something you've never done before to keep your spirits up and have some fun."
