WREXHAM council has praised parents for rising to the challenge of home-schooling.

As the coronavirus lockdown continues, concerns rise over the closure of schools and children getting the education they need.

A spokesman for Wrexham Council said: "Another week of home-schooling is here and everyone is very proud of how parents have risen to the challenge of coping with home-schooling.

"Our schools too are doing a fantastic job looking after children of essential workers.

"To all of you, we say “Thank You” and keep up the good work.

"Please remember to also look after your own well-being and do not be too concerned about following school routines. We all want happy parents and children when this is all over."

A round-up has been made of activities available to families online.
