A YOUNG boy has celebrated the efforts being made by frontline staff in the fight against coronavirus.

Toby Garratt, 10, has used his artistic skills to support the wonderful staff at the Wrexham Maelor Hospital.

Dad Wynne said: “He’s mad on art and when news of this lockdown first broke, he decided he was going to do 100 drawings.

“He thought that by the time he got to 100 during the lockdown, the virus would be over.

“The NHS superhero picture is one of many, there is a lot more that he has made, and he has had a lot of positive feedback on social media.

“Every now and then he comes up with a stroke of genius and this one in particular is incredible.”

Toby, who attends St Peter’s school in Rossett, wanted to do something unique to show his support.

Wynne added: “I thought this was perfect timing with such a positive response to the NHS and what they are doing in this fight.

“He completely gets the magnitude of the problem and the efforts being made by frontline key workers and this is his way of showing support.

“He has made an Instagram page to post his art-work and a lot more people are visiting it to look at it.

“He definitely has talent.”

Toby, who plays for Wrexham Under 11 rugby team has set up the Instagram page with the handle arty_kid2009 for those wishing to smile at his artwork.
