FLINTSHIRE school pupils are being asked to enter a competition organised by a local football association to keep themselves busy during the coronavirus lockdown.

The Flintshire Girls FA has teamed up with Exile Sportswear to design next year’s kit.

The winner will get their design made up and will also receive a £25 sports voucher.

A spokesman said: “The competition is open to all school children in Flintshire.

“We’re opening this competition up to keep all pupils engaged while at home under the lockdown conditions. We know there will be a lot of pupils at home who have finished their homework and are running out things to do.

“By setting this challenge we are hoping to keep the pupils busy and to give their art work a chance to be represented on the Flintshire school girls football kit.”

For the 2019/20 season they were partnered and sponsored by Newydd Catering who are currently providing over 4,000 meals for school children who are eligible in Flintshire.

Anyone wanting to take part can download a template of the kit from @FlintGirlsFA twitter page.

All submissions can be sent to their Twitter page or email sboyesiphone@gmail.com where a handful will be selected and then it will be sent to a poll for the public to decide.

Submissions should be made before April 5.
