ALMOST 30,000 people in the UK have tested positive for coronavirus, it has been announced.
The Department of Health and Social care has confirmed that as of 9am on April 1, a total of 152,979 people have been tested.
Of those, 29,474 tested positive for the virus.
As of 5pm on March 31, of those hospitalised in the UK who tested positive for coronavirus, 2,352 have died.
