A WREXHAM firm is helping businesses stay engaged with their employees during the coronavirus lockdown.

With most of the workforce moving towards remote working, maintaining productivity, culture and employee health and wellbeing will prove hugely challenging.

Andrew Roberts, CEO of Weekly10, based on the Wrexham Technology Park, said: “Maintaining manager-employee relations is becoming extremely difficult. One-to-one meetings in the office have all but stopped and they are unlikely to resume for quite some time.

“But the need for regular check-ins between employer and employee has never been more vital.

“They are not only important in terms of productivity, but also in terms of trying to maintain culture and, most importantly of all, the wellbeing of your people.

“Remote working, particularly if you aren’t used to it, can be extremely lonely and can induce a sense of cabin fever.

“We have clients whose businesses are based entirely on remote working and have put in place an online framework to enable them to check in regularly.”

Two examples of such clients are Havenly, which has a network of interior designers based in different parts of the United States, and US remote recruitment agency Virtual Vocations.

Weekly10 has gained 150 clients since launching just 18 months ago. Over 45% of its clients are overseas.

Its platform measures and improves an organisation’s engagement performance through a habit-forming, 10-minute weekly process.

Utilising the latest science from the realms of motivation, behaviour change and communication, the product’s weekly check-in empowers employees and their managers to build a working culture that maximises performance and delivers measurable improvements in employee engagement.

The platform is available on the web, mobile app and various workplace platforms such as Slack and Microsoft Teams, allowing employees to check in from anywhere.

The platform includes the ability for companies to give their employees a regular nudge to raise issues that they may have to help combat any anxieties or concerns.
