A CANCER support group in Wrexham has confirmed its backup plan to help members during coronavirus restrictions.

The regular monthly meetings of the Wrexham Prostate Cancer Support Group have ceased for the time being due to the covid-19 lockdown.

But the group is now offering other ways to support its members and those men in the Wrexham Area who have recently being diagnosed with Prostate Cancer or believe they may be suffering symptoms.

Group chairman Malcolm Williams said: “It is going to be difficult to gain access to medical professional help at this particular time so several of our members have volunteered to share their experiences with those in our community of how they have responded to the various treatment types. "Rest assured, they have a wealth of positive information to share and facts about their own specific journeys and how they have also handled any side effects."

For more information about the work of the group and to receive a copy of its newly developed members and patients handbook, contact secretary Phil Jones via email at wxmpcsg@gmail.com or by calling 07525 824679.
