A HOLYWELL pub will transform into a temporary grocery store to help residents during the coronavirus lockdown.

The Crown Inn Lixwm previously continued trading with a take away food and drink service from Wednesday to Sunday.

However, they have decided to help locals further but transforming into a temporary grocery store to sell essential items.

A spokesman added: "So it's happening.

"Starting this week the Crown will be opening as a grocery selling essential items as well as our delicious takeaway and fresh coffee and loose leaf tea to go.

"Everything is ordered and in the hands of our suppliers so look for further updates."

It is hoped the shop will be up and running by Thursday, April 2.More information can be found on the Crown Inn Lixwm Facebook Page.
