A WREXHAM business is appealing for witnesses after damage was caused to their window amidst the coronavirus lockdown.

The Leader previously reported that the Vaults in Ruabon requested donations of items to help the elderly and vulnerable in the community and prevent them from feeling lonely and worrying about food they need.

However, on Monday night their window was damaged by what is believed to be a BB gun.

A spokesman for the Vaults said: "As if times weren't hard enough in this industry at the minute last night our establishment was targeted by idiots with a pellet gun causing damage to a window.

"It's just a bit of cosmetic damage but it's just an expense we could do without for the moment with the recent mandated closure of pubs."

The business has published CCTV images of a car they believe to be involved.

A spokesman for North Wales Police confirmed the force was called at 9pm on Monday, March 30 to reports of a small hole in a window 'possibly from a BB gun'.
