A QUEENSFERRY takeaway has donated its leftover food to local community groups after they decided to close until further notice.
The Master Fryer in Queensferry took the decision to close their store during the Covid-19 pandemic for the safety of their staff and customers.
With the left over products, these were donated to two local care homes, the local firestation in Deeside, Queensferry GP, Queensferry Pharmacy and the Deeside community hospital.
A spokesman for the takeaway told the Leader: "We understand the community is struggling in this time of need, and we deeply appreciate the NHS and everything they are doing, so instead of carrying on as usual we wanted to support the individuals who were not able to go out and get the necessities they need.
"We knew especially the elderly customers would not be able to return as usual, and the NHS staff are too busy to be able to go out and get food.
"We wish everyone stays safe during the lockdown we will update you on our re-open date as soon as possible."
