A DEESIDE business has pledged to remove ‘call-out fees’ and donate it to charities that need extra funding during the coronavirus pandemic.

DRB Group, based in Deeside, will continue to provide essential and in some cases, health changing solutions to Pharmaceutical, Food and Medical companies throughout the COVID-19 crisis.

Already the engineering firm has been called upon by the NHS to provide essential maintenance works for operating theatres and X-Ray rooms.

Based on the global pandemic, DRB Group is, however, taking additional measures to ensure they safeguard the health of their employees and preserve their ability to operate where possible.

DRB Group CEO, Matt Bennett said “We have identified areas which we consider critical to operate within our Manufacturing facility.

“We have developed operational continuity plans within these teams, to ensure we have sufficient resources to keep DRB Group running safely and can continue to provide solutions to our customers.

“We have implemented a plan to remove non-operational personnel to further protect the health of our team. Those who can perform their jobs from home and do not have to be in our offices, will begin working from home to minimise any potential viral transmission.”

DRB has also implemented business and personal travel guidelines and a mandatory 14-day quarantine of any employee who have been in areas of concern.

They say they will continue to monitor the situation and will take the necessary guidance from the Government but as they continue to support critical business needs, staff are reassuring customers that they should not experience any negative impact during this period.

They will also help to shut down and re-open sites on behalf of customers when required.

CEO Matt Bennett added: “We are confident in our preparedness and contingency planning for situations such as this.

“It's also important to point out that where necessary, we are able to provide physical staff members to our customers to provide on-site solutions, maintenance and to help identify any future problematic engineering issues.

“Any team member needed for this type of work will be isolated to that customer to adhere to the advice from the Government.

“We will remove all call out engineering fees and instead will donate this to local charities that need extra cash during this pandemic.

“To us, this is a time to show support to each other and help to keep businesses running. We are proud to serve our customers and our workforce are united in looking after themselves and each other at the same time as working hard to keep the United Kingdom running. From an economical perspective this is vital.”
