DOORS have been locked at a doctors surgery in response to Coronavirus.

Kings House Surgery in Rhyl said they have made 'every effort' to reduce the amount of people coming into the surgery, but it had not been successful.

They have now taken action and locked their doors across both sites.

Patients with pre-booked appointments will be asked to ring the bell outside and will be let in by reception staff.

Dominique Walker, practice manager, posted on Facebook: "Patients will be asked to sanitise hands before entering the building.

"Prescription requests can be made online - if you require log in details please contact reception via telephone and we can text your details to you. Prescriptions can also be posted through the letterbox.

"We encourage patients to call the surgery for any other queries.

"Please be patient with my staff as the phones have an increased demand and we are trying to protect other patients and the staff."

Patients have been thanked for their co-operation and been asked to share the information with friends and family.

Dominique added: "We are following government advice and encouraging you to stay home where you can.

"We are coming to work to help you, please stay at home to help us."
