SUPPORTERS of Rhyl FC have rallied behind the club as its faces an uncertain future.

Following the JD Cymru North side’s announcement regarding their increasing financial predicament following the coronavirus pandemic, fans have rallied round contacted Lilies’ officials with how they can assist with their current situation.

They have subsequently announced the re-launch of their 200 Club, which is a monthly draw with a total of £400 worth of prize money on offer.

The cost per month is £5 and the rest of the money goes towards the Lilywhites’ running costs.

A Rhyl FC spokesman, said: “The support from supporters and the media have been appreciated to ensure that the circumstances impacting on the football club are well known locally and nationally.

“We have been asked of ways in which supporters can help the club financially.

“In the first instance we are looking to use the 200 Club as a way of allowing supporters to provide additional financial support. This also allows supporters to be rewarded for their support to the Football Club. “If supporters could sign up for £5 a month, or take multiple entries that would be of great help for the club to move forward with no real income in the coming weeks.”

Anyone wishing to take part can now do so online via direct debit on Go Cardless. This will avoid the previous requirement for manual forms.

A second option is to pay £50 up front for a 12-month entry has also been made available to supporters, which is a saving of £10 per year.
