A WREXHAM resident has spoken of their concerns over the ongoing drug use within the area.

The disgruntled Gwersyllt resident, who wished to remain anonymous, has been living at a Wales and West property on White Lion Close for a number of years and has shared a number of photographs which highlight their cause for concern.

One image which was recently taken by the resident, came after one 'disgusting' incident saw them discovering a large quantity of used nitrous oxide cannisters ‘dumped’ in their outside bin.

They said: "It's always been like this up here but it’s gotten worse over the last month or so.

"I've even seen one resident high on drugs sitting on the gas box, just slouched over.

"It’s not a nice thing to see to be honest, especially for my younger relatives.

"I dread living here but I’m too afraid to report any of this because of the consequences it may have on me."

The resident has also shared other images which shows two empty methadone bottles left outside their property during different time periods.

Other drug related issues that they have mentioned includes disposed cannabis butts in their shared community garden.

Questioned whether they have reported these incidents to the appropriate authorities, the resident expressed their hesitation to do so due to the ‘large presence of drug users’ within the area.

A spokesperson for Wales and West Housing, said: "We take reports of drug misuse at any of our properties extremely seriously.

"Where any issues are identified we work closely with police to take robust action and ensure the safety of our residents.

"Any residents who are worried about drug misuse near their home should report their concerns to police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
