THREE Caernarfon Town players have been named in the Wales C squad for their upcoming semi-professional international against England.

The highly anticipated clash, which will take place at The Oval on Tuesday, March 24, will see a trio of Cofis’ looking to secure success for the national side on home soil.

Goalkeeper Alex Ramsay has been named in the squad for the second time after a series of exceptional display throughout the season.

Midfield playmaker Leo Smith, who was a high-profile summer signing from Wrexham, is also included in Mark Jones’ squad thanks his emergence as one of the brightest young talents anywhere in the domestic game.

Hometown hero Darren Thomas is also set to make his international debut after earning selection to the squad following a campaign that has been littered with unforgettable highlights.

Barry Town United and Cardiff Met form a large portion of the squad, with five player from each side included.

Jones’ 20-man squad also consists of Aberystwyth Town duo Lee Jenkins and Connor Roberts, who is on loan from The New Saints, and JD Cymru Premier leaders Connah’s Quay Nomads are also represented in the form of Callum Roberts.

The Wales boss, said: “We’re excited about playing this match at the home of Caernarfon Town.

“We know that not only the Cofis’ passionate fans will come out in support of the Cymru C squad at The Oval but all those in the surrounding area as well, and we can’t wait to bring international football to their doorstep.

“This will be the third match between Cymru and England in as many seasons and I believe that we’ve assembled a strong squad to give us the best possible chance in the match.”
