The QD store, which is located on Hope Street, has recently announced that its store is set to close in May of this year, with 18 full and part time jobs under threat.

The building of which was formerly home to M&S, saw staff being informed of the decision on Monday, 9 March.

Here is what some of our readers had to say...

"This has killed of the main drag in Wrexham Town Centre, but maybe they can buy this building and make another art hub or something."

Another reader, Glyn Andrew Turner, said: "Another empty shop.

"RIP Wrexham Town Centre."

Helen Storer, added: "I like shopping in QD, it's the only reason I walk down to that part of town."

Reader, Cynthia Roberts, stated that the closure is 'sad' to see and that the town is somewhat 'worn out'.

Many readers took the opportunity to express their sympathy for the staff who are now at risk of being unemployed.

One Stephanie Louise Taylor, said: "I'm sorry for all the staff, as it's never a nice experience to lose your job through store closure."
