A search has been launched to find a Supermum with a heart of gold - with the winner set to receive a fantastic Mother’s Day treat package worth more than £350.

Eagles Meadow shopping centre in Wrexham has joined up with the Leader to launch a search to find a deserving mum, in a competition being run to celebrate Mother’s Day, which this year falls on Sunday, March 22.

The winner will receive a prize worth more than £350, including a beautiful heart shaped pendant from the renowned Welsh gold, family-run jewellery business Clogau, kindly donated by Mococo, based in Eagles Meadow.

There will also be a meal for a family of four at Frankie & Benny’s, family ticket for four at Odeon for a film of your choice, two mini-sets of fragrance favourite Thierry Mugler in popular Alien and Angel scents from Debenhams and a beautiful bouquet of flowers from Marks & Spencer.

Nicola Seddon, Mococo assistant manager, said: “We are thrilled to be involved in providing a special prize for Eagles Meadow’s Supermum competition.

“When we were asked to take part, we immediately thought of this beautiful heart-shaped Clogau Cariad pendant with a sparkling diamond (pictured below), worth almost £240, which is the perfect pendant to show someone in your life how much you love them.

The Leader:

“We know it is going to find a very deserving home and we are looking forward to it finding its way to the winning mum.”

Oana Mocanasu, Eagles Meadow marketing manager, said: “We know there will be lots of special mums out there who deserve an equally special treat for Mothering Sunday and we are really looking forward to hearing about them.

“We are looking for a supermum who deserves some recognition for the amazing things she does to help and support her loved ones.

“A person whose dedication and care knows no boundaries, a person who has a real impact on the lives of the people around her.

“We want people to share these special stories with us so we can find someone who we can all make a fuss of and help their family and friends let them know that they appreciate everything they do.

“There can be no better time to do this than for Mother’s Day.”

Eagles Meadow will also be running free family fun activities over the Mother’s Day weekend of March 21 and 22 from 11am-3pm. It will include face painting for children and their mums, crafts where children will be able to make a special card to mark the day and staff will be giving out daffodils to all the visiting mums.
