HOSPICE care on Anglesey and Gwynedd is 'no joke' according to comedian Tudur Owen.

Tudur, who is a patron of St David's Hospice, is now calling for people to join him on a hospice care fundraising trek along the Anglesey Coastal Path. The one-day, 20 mile hike, on Sunday, April 5, goes from Cemaes Bay to Moelfre.

Anglesey Area Fundraiser Ella Baxendale said: “As St David’s moves closer to opening our new satellite hospice unit in Holyhead, and following the success of our Llyn Peninsula coastal walk we felt it was high time to set ourselves and supporters a new challenge. All proceeds from this beautiful challenge will go towards our new Anglesey Hospice."

Tudur Owen said: “Join us for a 20 mile trek along the beautiful coastal path on Anglesey. It’s a bit tricky in parts, but it will be a lot of fun. What isn’t a laughing matter is the lack of hospice facilities in Anglesey and North Gwynedd. All proceeds will go to caring for local people."

Entry is £25 per person with a minimum sponsorship level of £100. Participants must be 16 or over. See www.stdavidshospice.org.uk or call 01248 751022.
