THIS summer Deeside residents have been invited to take part in a 'frenzied fun' event for charity.

Deeside Round Table and Deeside Ladies Circle have joined forces to bring the spirit of an iconic 80s TV show - It's a Knockout - to life.

The obstacle course will be held at Gladstone Playing Fields on June 6.

A spokesman for the event said: "We're looking for eager teams (6 - 10 people per team) to sign up via our Facebook events page and take part in what is sure to be an incredibly fun day filled with spills and laughter.

"What's more, every single penny raised will be divided between our two chosen charities for this event: Round Table Children's Wish, who provide holidays, breaks away and magical days out to children suffering serious illness and life-limiting conditions, and the Cleft Lip And Palate Association who provide invaluable support to children with a cleft.

"As well as the professional company who will be delivering the It's a Knockout competition on our behalf, we'll also have an array of food and drink stalls, including a bar, and some music to keep everyone pumped for the events."

The day will begin at 10am and finish around 3pm.
