A NEW councillor has been elected in Gwersyllt North.
Plaid Cymru candidate Phil Rees became the ward's new councillor following the election, which took place on Thursday.
The other candidates were: Martyn Davies (Independent), Helen Hay (Independent), Graham Kelly (Welsh Liberal Democrats), Jeremy Richard Kent (Welsh Conservative Party), Bernie McCann (Independent), Colin Powell (Welsh Labour) and Duncan Rees (Green Party).
