THE Wrexham Museum has thanked those who donated past school items for their latest exhibition.

The exhibition at the museum, titled ‘Back To School’ - chronicles how schooling within the area has changed over the past two centuries.

In order to fully showcase the change, the museum decided to display memories, mementos, archives and old photographs to the public.

The free exhibition opened on February 17 and will run until June 20.

Museum curator, Jonathan Gammond, said: “This exhibition is a celebration of schooling across the whole of Wrexham.

“It was a real community effort - as most of the items displayed were from a collection after we did several appeals.

“It’s interesting to witness how schooling has changed throughout the years - from uniform to teaching equipment.

“We truly appreciate all those who donated their items to us.”
