A SCOUT club in Wrexham is seeking a group leader to support their volunteers.

The Rhosnesni Scouts, located on Dean Road are looking for someone to fit the 'behind the scenes' role - which does not require a commitment to weekly meetings and there is no responsibility to run activities for the children.

Instead, the role involves visiting the leaders for a quick chat now and again - as well as dealing with emails and keeping track of training online.

Moz Morris, from Wrexham Scouts, said: "We’re not necessarily looking for someone who has a background with The Scouts to do this role.

"Anyone who’s good with people and is good at organising things would be able to do it.

"We offer all the training needed which can even count towards an ILM management qualification.

"In exchange the person would get loads of management experience, learn new skills, make friends and help their community.

"It’s ideal for people who support the work of The Scouts, but can’t commit to weekly meetings, or would prefer something where they don’t have to deal with young people.

"Much of the role can be done at home whenever they have a spare moment."

The Scouts are also asking people who may not be able to do the role themselves to share the information with others or nominate those who they think would be suitable within the role.
