TEMPORARY traffic lights are set to take over parts of Flintshire this week as a number of new road works projects begin across the region.
Ten new works will begin in the area between Monday and Thursday, with temporary traffic lights being introduced in nine of those cases.
There is now a one way system in place on Brynford Street while contractors carry out BT works that are expected to last until February 26.
Meanwhile, temporary two-way traffic lights have been placed on to Hawarden Road (Penyffordd), Coast Road (Mostyn) and Parkway (Sealand) for water utility works.
The traffic measures on Hawarden Road are exected to remain until Friday, while work on Coast Road should be completed by Wednesday. For Parkway in Sealand, work isn’t due to be completed until March 6.
Delays should be expected on Bagillt Road too, as a three-way temporary traffic light was put in place while BT work is carried out, although this should be completed by Wednesday.
On Tuesday, Hawarden Road in Hope will have a temporary two way traffic light that should remain in place until Friday while BT works is completed.
Two way traffic lights will also be put out on Corwen Road in Treuddyn, Wrexham Road in Hope and Main Road in Lixwm on Wednesday for BT and water utility works respectively.
These, though, are only expected to remain out for 48 hours, while a four way temporary traffic light will be in Abakhan from Thursday until March 4 for highway maintenance work.
