ONE person has been taken to hospital after a vehicle went down the embankment of the A483 at around 7.15am this morning (Monday).

It was first reported to North Wales Police that the car, a Skoda Fabia vRS, had gone down the embankment of the major trunk road between junctions 5 (Mold Road) and 6 (Gresford) at 7.17am.

A police spokesperson said: “We attended an incident where a vehicle had gone down the embankment of the A483. It was a one vehicle road traffic collision involving a Fabia vRS.”

Confirming that one person has been taken to hospital following the incident, a Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson said:

“We were called to reports of a road traffic accident on the A483 between junctions 5 and 6 today, Monday February 24 at approximately 7.18am.

“We responded with one emergency ambulance and one person was taken to Wrexham Maelor Hospital.”

North Wales Fire and Rescue Service also attended the scene as they used specialist equipment to stabilise the vehicle and assist the ambulance crew with the injured person.

The two appliances from Johnstown left the scene at around 8.30am.
