A WREXHAM hospice is marking its 25th year of providing free palliative care for the local community in style.

Nightingale House Hospice is celebrating the landmark on May 23 with a fun birthday party walk, followed by a party on the pitch and cake.

There will be a 5km sponsored party walk with music, dancers and lots of fun.

The route for the sponsored 5km walk will be around the Wrexham area, passing the hospice and going through the centre of town, with music playing, dancers and performers taking part as well.

The hospice is asking all walkers to raise a minimum of £25 sponsorship to celebrate 25 years of the hospice in order to participate in this event.

Following the walk, Nightingale House is holding a 'Party on the Pitch' at Wrexham AFC's Racecourse Ground - with live music and party games.

There will be live music from Phats and Small DJ Ben Ofoedu, music during the night, party games - as well as a selection of stalls to get you into the party spirit.

The Racecourse will have food available and a bar serving drinks will be open on the night.

The walk starts at 5.30pm and the subsequent party will run until 11pm.

Once you have registered for your place you will receive a letter of confirmation, walker number and sponsorship form.

You will also receive on the night a party hat and party blower to wear/use as well as receiving a medal for completing the 5km walk and piece of cake at the end.
