A pedestrian has been left fighting for his life following a collision near Wrexham.
Police said at 11.43pm last night (Sunday) officers were called to a collision involving a HGV and a male pedestrian on the southbound carriageway, junction 5 of the A483 - near Gresford.
The pedestrian was taken to the Wrexham Maelor Hospital but he has since been transferred to hospital in Stoke with serious, life threatening injuries.
Police are now appealing for witnesses.
Sergeant Stephen Richards of the Roads Policing Unit said: “We are appealing to anybody who may have witnessed the pedestrian prior to the collision to come forward.
"Equally we’d like to hear from anybody who may have been travelling along the A483 and who may have dash cam to also contact us.”
