A man has been left seriously injured following a hit and run in Queensferry.

Police said the incident occurred near the Spar on Station Road just before 9pm on Saturday.

The driver failed to stop and fled the scene, and a manhunt has now been launched, North Wales Police's Roads Unit said.

The road was closed for several hours following the incident.

A North Wales Police Roads Unit spokesman said: “We are appealing for witnesses following a serious Road Traffic Collision on Station Road, Queensferry last night, Saturday 8 February 2020.

"At approximately 8.55pm, emergency services responded to the scene involving a medium sized silver vehicle and a male pedestrian.

"The driver of the vehicle failed to stop and fled the scene leaving the pedestrian with serious injuries. Several enquiries are being conducted to trace the driver.
