A FLINTSHIRE church is to play its part in tackling climate change thanks to National Lottery good causes money.
RiverDee Community Church in Flint has been awarded a grant of £10,050 from the National Lottery Community Fund.
The money will enable the church to carry out necessary improvements to the property’s annex, which will not only be a huge benefit to the many groups who use this facility, but it will also improve energy efficiency and reduce carbon emissions.
The grant is part of a pilot in Wales to support existing National Lottery projects to take action in their communities to tackle the climate emergency.
Last year The National Lottery Community Fund announced that it is committing £100 million over 10 years to support communities across the UK to tackle climate change. Church pastor Stephen Harmes said: “Thanks to the National Lottery we have been able to completely upgrade our annex building.”
