HOMES and businesses in Connah’s Quay have been left with little to no water this afternoon (Wednesday) after a burst on the Welsh Water network.
This is Welsh Water’s second burst water main in as many days in the Flintshire area, after much of Buckley was hit by a similar issue on Tuesday.
A stretch of Mold Road is at the heart of the latest affected area, with the low water pressure extending to parts of Wepre, near Wepre Park, and homes just north of Northop.
Coleg Cambria and the business dominated B5129 are just outside of the area hit by the burst water main, but people have been affected up to as far as Oakenholt Lane.
Welsh Water were first alerted to the issue at around 1.30pm and hope to have the issue fixed by 4.30pm.
