PERMISSION to turn part of a Holywell office into a home has been granted.

A planning application received by Flintshire Council requested retrospective permission for the change of use of a rear brick ‘lean-to’ extension of a Grade II listed building in Well Street.

The council has now confirmed the scheme has been given the green light by planning officers.

“The proposal is for a change of use of the brick rear part of the building into a one bedroom house,” a statement submitted with the plans explains, “with an enclosed yard to the rear with its own entrance gate from Rue St Gregoire. The current use of the ground floor is as a meeting room, disabled toilet and drinks preparation area.

“The meeting room will become the lounge, the toilet and drinks area will become the new kitchen.

“On the first floor the kitchen will become the bedroom and the large WC will become the bathroom.
