FIVE generations from one family came together to celebrate a Wrexham great-great grandmother's milestone birthday.
Bessie Butterton, who lives at the Connifers Care Home in Rhos, turned 100 on Thursday.
Her family turned out to celebrate the big day with her, including her great-granddaughter Lindsay Jones.
Miss Jones, aged 35 and from Chirk, said: "She has a massive family and 39 grandchildren so she had a lot of grandkids visiting through the day - we had sandwiches and sat with her while she opened her card from the Queen.
"She was made up, she always said she was waiting to get her card from the Queen.
"We had a cake with '100' on it as well, it was a special day."
Miss Jones said it was particularly special as with herself, her three-year-old daughter Isla, mother Yvonne Ithell, grandmother Gleyns Jones and her great-grandmother Bessie, five generations of the family were together in one room.
Sharing memories of her grandmother, she added: "In her younger years she loved to bake, always had the grandchildren round and always had a cake in the oven. Jam and coconut was her main one."
